LELOUN Int’l Film Festival to host ‘Mountain’

‘Mountain’ is to vie at the LELOUN International Film Festival in Syria.

The LELOUN International Film Festival in Syria has announced the shortlist of contenders for its 1st year’s prestigious awards and among the finalists is Iranian ‘Mountain’.

Teymour Qaderi’s 100-second short film will be participating in the Syrian film fest along with Iranian short animation ‘This Side, Other Side’ by Lida Fazli.

Produced by Iran-based Kordestan Art Center, ‘Mountain’ takes us into the dreams of a boy on the slopes of a mountain.

Qaderi’s movies have experienced up to 200 international presences. His ‘It Hits upon the Roof’ has been screened in several international film festivals such as the 2014 Lucania Film Festival in Italy, Lahore Short Film Festival 2013 Celebrating Iranian Heritage and the third MiCe Film Festival in Spain. It also won the special award at the 11th Switzerland's International Short Film Festival of Geneva.

‘Mountain’ will also take part in the 36th Hamburg International Short Film Festival which is set for November 6-9, 2020 in Germany. It has also made finalist to the 2020 BLUE2BLUE Drone Film Festival in Australia as well as the 2nd YVE International Film Festival in China.

The LELOUN International Short Film Festival is an invitation of cultural dialogue through the medium of cinema.

The Syrian Province of Afrin will host the event on September 21-25, 2020.
